motivation

just curious... how do babies derive motivation? is it all just a very different experience at a very different pace for each little love? I ask this now as i work at my computer, and about ten feet away my baby lies on a blanket in the living room with toys just out of arms reach. He's too content kicking and sucking his thumb and staring at the fan to think about how to get the toys just out of arms reach. His motivation is elsewhere... in the sucking and kicking and staring off into space. And...this just in... yep, into crapping his britches. Sometimes i wish i could be that carefree.

(And not that i'm over eager for my 4+ month old child to be mobile, but just intrigued as to when this will happen.)

I knew a guy in college that went and bought depends adult diapers just so he could go to the bathroom in his pants while the professor was lecturing. It is definitely a different approach in pursuit of a carefree lifestyle but it make me laugh none the less. - Jason

Thanks for keeping us thoroughly entertained with the adventures of RM! We keep looking at each other and asking, "Two? Can we really do it?"

is that RM even rolling yet?!

I don't think RM will be going anywhere anytime soon on his own. Not that he isn't smart enough. There is just no way he could move. The boy is SOLID. And so precious and sweet.

yeah, the boy is a chunka. he ain't moving any time soon. G was the same way. he'd just lay around, enjoying life. i'm sure your second one will be different. :)

that's right Tootie - no roll action yet. And Jason, that's disgusting. I didn't really mean quite that kind of carefree... And Nanni... you can speak to his immobility more than most. Your arms are looking good too Auntie! And Booner, well, i hope #2 isn't quite as famous as D-heavy for his differences with G-money. Although the contrast is hard to beat!
